The ferry from Kagoshima arrived in Kikaijima at 4 AM. Our first Couchsurfing host
ever, Winwit – an American living on Kikai and working there as an
English teacher – was very kind to meet us at the harbour and guide
us to his place. It was still a bit early for breakfast, so we went
back to sleep. Consequently, the breakfast turned to a rather late brunch - a picnic at the beach.
