9.15-9.45 AM, the restaurant of Buoy guest house, Sangkhom

• 2 cheese sandwiches
• yoghurt with mysli and fruit
• 2 x papaya shake (way too cold for the morning weather)

After breakfast, we dragged ourselves to the roadside (there is no bus station in Sangkhom) to wait for the bus back to Nong Khai, which would arrive sometime between 11 and 12 AM. Right on time, it arrived at 11.45.

We had a terrific stay here, and at Buoy guest house: a cosy, primitive bungalow right on the riverside, with a hammock on the porch and gecko's, frogs and other lizards to share the accommodation with.
