10.30-11.00 AM, the restaurant of Zuela Guest House, Luang Namtha

The last time we ate proper cheese was in Mongolia. Elina's hopes were high when she ordered a “cheese baguette” this morning (as the “western” servings of Zuela restaurant have otherwise been fairly decent so far), but what she got was yet again the tasteless and individually wrapped slices of processed cheese - the only thing we've we've come across in Asia. We postpone our further cheese hopes until Australia.

  • 2 Standard breakfasts with fried eggs; one baguette with cheese instead of butter and jam
  • ginger tea
