The couple running this homestay used to run a restaurant, which judging from the supreme breakfasts and meals they prepared, was easy to believe. This morning, however, we were served sausage rolls.
Since Laos, this was already the third time when we were of the solid understanding that our message ("we do not eat meat") had come across - and with the current hosts there was absolutely no doubt about it: the issue was debated over several times, and they really put effort in providing us with vegetarian alternatives, or fish. And yet we were served sausage.
We can not come up with any other conclusion than that in South East Asia, sausage just doesn't count as meat.
- fried wide noodles (can't recall what they're called)
- white and whole grain toast with coconut spread
- sausage rolls
- cucumber slices
- tea
- water
