Once again a Platskartny (3rd class) breakfast. This time not in our own wagon though. Because Mikko's feet tend to stick 20 cm beyond the edge of his berth, blocking about a half of the width of the wagon's corridor, we've opted for the upper berths – it's slightly easier to avoid constant contact with people passing by when sleeping up on the shelf. This has had the consequence that we often have nowhere to sit: there's way too little head room for sitting on the upper berths, and whenever the lower berth person wants to lay down, the whole berth is occupied. Thus, this morning, we started our breakfast with an expedition to the next wagon, in search for a vacant table and seats. The breakfast included:
- flat bread
- figs
- cashew nuts
- orange juice
- water
- strawberry yogurt, which unfortunately had not survived the tropical night of the 3rd class
- cranberry cookies
- 2 oranges of which one fell on the floor just as it was peeled, and was accordingly discarded
