Just
to experience even a slight bit of nature in Australia – seeing
bushes and creeks through the window of a highway bus hardly counts
as experience – we booked three nights in a youth hostel at the
Ku-Rin-Gai national park, north of Sydney. There were several good
things about this choice of lodging: Australianwild life was literally on the doorstep; there was hardly
anything (except kayaking) to spend
money on; and we needed to bring our own food and prepare it
ourselves – for the first time since Aoshima, actually, and that
was in November.
- oatmeal porridge with banana and raspberry jam
- Lebanese flatbread
- cheese & fruit plate: grapes, pear, cheddar cheese (yum), white chocolate & cranberry cookies
- mango-peach yoghurt
- apple-mango juice
